Élodie Voisard is Gerald Pierson's assistant department head at the University of York. She is highly intelligent, a dedicated biologist and a perfectionist in her work.

Élodie is a warm, earthy, sensual woman with a great sense of humor. She respects the opinions of others, even when she vehemently disagrees with them. She is a calm and balanced woman who gets along well with people.

Élodie was born and raised in Paris, but moved to York, England when she was offered the position at the University.

She and Gerald have been close friends since they began working together, but their relationship blossoms into something more as the quartet progresses. Élodie is also good friends with Theresa.
